Employee of the Month

We are proud to honor our curriculum director for her outstanding work ethics in working with
teachers as well as students. Ever since 2002, Ms. Guillaume has been employed at our school, ensuring that students
achieve success to their highest potential. Her years of experience working with the students have given her various characteristics
that have helped her achieve the title. “First, you have to love your job,” Ms. Guillaume began, “and
have experience working with adults and students alike.” Through her responsive actions and her years of experience,
Ms. Guillaume has obviously made an impact on everyone within the walls of Lafayette Middle School. “I come
to work and try to do the best I can everyday,” she had stated in an earlier interview. As of right now, she plans to
continue her career until she finds that it is the right time to retire. In response
to the fact that she had won the award, she simply said “I’m ecstatic, I really don’t believe it. I have
to pinch myself to know it’s real.” But who did she think deserved the award? “There are so many,”
Ms. Guillaume began, “I couldn’t just pick one person. I would have to choose the whole group.” As she
continues to work and assist those in need, she left advice she felt will help everyone improve their life. “First,
you have to love what you do,” Ms. Philpart stated, “and second, you have to work hard.” Her constant struggle
to help the school is an obvious reason why she was chosen as the Employee of the Month.
